Hairbows, Meatballs, and Cup Drinking.

Thats what's been new around here... along with a nasty ear infection, but I wanted to add something light hearted today!

Eden FINALLY has enough hair for real hairbows (well, real meaning a clippie). I was so excited when I realized this, I ran upstairs and tried most of the bows we have in her hair:) I managed one picture...
I'm trying to add some variety to Eden's diet and get creative with higher caloried foods... come to find out she LOVES meatballs... I guess she should since I religiously ate spaghetti (with the occasional meatball) while I was pregnant (La Forresta anyone?).  At feeding therapy last week, we were talking about other meats to try - they gave her "turkey sticks" - YUK! To close to vienna sausages if you ask me and just the thought of those makes me want to puke. She like them, but I'm hoping for some other alternatives. She's also a fan of mexican - she ate half of the "inside" of a chicken taco today at lunch! I was totally shocked... guess we'll be eating more mexican:)

We've also been trying some modified cup drinking in feeding therapy (you can see her little cup in the photo below). She's still not keene on the bottle and even less thrilled about a sippy cup. Our feeding therapist at Duke gave us a "honey bear" which is literally a honey bear that honey comes in with a straw out the top - needless to say, she didn't like that very much either... actually I think she's scared of it:) So, they suggested we try cup feeding again (we attempted it a while back, but it was VERY messy). Though she's not too proficient at it, she thinks its hilarious that she can drink from a cup. She giggles every time I put it on her tray.

Bath time is becoming a favorite too (of mine and Eden's)!  She loves playing in the water and "splashing". I don't take many tub pictures, but this one's appropriate (sorry for the cotton balls in her ears... that the new routine now with her ear tubes)...

I've been up to a lot of crafting lately too... Here's my latest. Its a basket for an auction our church is doing to raise money for missions. In the basket: List Taker, Journal Cover, Set of 12 Notecards, Prayer Journal, and Coffee Cozy... I'd love to know what you think and if you think a set like this would sell? I'm considering one for the shop.

Well... thats enough for today. We've got a week for playdates so it should be nice... we'll update more this week!

Love the hairbows. Basket is a cute idea. I know what you meant about the nice weather. I have walked this weekend, enjoying the sunshine. So, I take it that you don't like Vienna sausages. (I do, made me hungry for some...but will resist.) Never heard of turkey "vienna sausages" but they do a lot with turkey. Hope everything is still going well. Love to you all.
